Simply as a person, Agnes is one of those ladies who likes learning. After the toughest struggle of many failed applications, two years back, I was offered a scholarship-inter maths program(scientific computing) in Italy/Poland. I remember meeting one of my closest relatives to tell her about the good news and request some support for travel preparations. Her: Agnes, why consider going to Europe without considering your humble background. Me: Uhmmm, I believe this is what I have been looking for and I want to give it my all. Her: Mmmmh, now you are even talking of euros(referring to a bigger currency than Ugandan shillings) Me: I have some money from my savings and I will definitely sort out the start-ups for my financial demands.

Her: Well congratulations upon the scholarship, hoping you are making a decision basing on your future and hope this time all goes well. Of course, I had taken and thought of taking up the offer since it is something I was passionate about(for me to pursue a master's degree in mathematical sciences). But I remember saying this even with less than 500euro on my bank account) but I was confident and felt that this was the time for me to get out of the shells and fly my wings out my career dreams. The lesson, People, even the closest friends will never understand your dream not until they see the outcome after you have stood alone to break those comfort zones and barriers. So, stay focused and be confident in yourself and consider you as the best asset to reach out to your own destination.

Truly ,some times the greatest obstacle to our elevation is the very people we seem to believe in.right ,they may wish us well but have a certain limit of progress they expect us to reach.
