I AM IN BERLIN-GERMANY...
Spending 3 days Christmas holiday in Berlin City, an adventurous city was so memorable. I toured Berlin together with a friend and we were joined by a friend who is a native from Germany, so lovely lady who took us through the city for the first day and led us to the best places around. She was really so knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited..Kudos to her. Take a tour with me through this blog as you check out the most attractive places in Berlin.
Brandenburg Gate.
Brandenburg Gate is one of the surviving gates from the world war, it is so historical and full of attractive insights that represent peace ad freedom to Germany. It is a monument that you cannot miss out on as you visit Berlin.
Dome of Berlin
This is the Dome of Berlin, so basically a big church/cathedral with breathtaking architecture. It is located on the museum island, together with a lot of different museums with great art pieces treasured all over the world.
Berlin's Fernsehturm(TV Tower)
Great History about this tower, the tallest building in Germany, with a height of 368 meters. The tower attracts lots of people from all corners of the world, it has a limited number of people it occupies(400 people). Something special about it is that it gives a great sight of the Berlin city at an aerial view as shown below. This tower holds three elevators which are extremely fast taking only 40 seconds to reach 203 meters: 6 meters per second. We paid for a ticket for us to enter the tower, but it was a great experience.

Natural Science Museum of Berlin.
.
Now, this is what I mean with travel with purpose, visiting the Natural Science Museum of Berlin, founded by Alexander von Humboldt who is a brother to Wilhelm von Humboldt who founded the Humboldt University Berlin. The Museum had lots of natural science exhibitions including Minerals, birds, animals, evolution, and dinosaurs. It gives a great feel of study during travel. below are some of the exhibitions within this museum.
The German Technic Museum.
Guys, dare not to miss out on this museum as you get a chance to visit Berlin, so much about science about engineering, machinery, aviation, and technology. It contains much of the ancient and modern history of machinery, fighting weapons used in the world war. I cannot layout all here but I have included the best gallery below.
World clock-Weltzeituhr.
TheWeltzeituhr, located on Alexanderplatz. It’s a clock showing all the time zones from the whole world. It was built during the 1960s in former East Berlin. The Alexander Platz is a huge square where people from all over the town meet up, with Christmas markets during the winter season and much more.
Red City Hall.
These pieces are part of the Berlin Wall, separating East and West Berlin from located at Potsdamer Platz.
Ampelmännchen.
There was something adventurous about the “Ampelmännchen”, which means “traffic light man”. It was special for former East Germany, so also East Berlin. Nowadays a lot of the traffic lights for pedestrians have it and there is also a brand with a lot of merchandise items. You cannot just miss out on sight it put allover Berlin city. In the picture above, it is cut out of the Berlin Wall or a wall imitating the Berlin Wall.

This is the Potsdamer Platz, another square in the Berlin city center. It is famous for the skyscrapers and it’s also a business area.
